Geely Auto France makes three key appointments to expand in French market

Geely Auto France is accelerating its push into the French market with three key appointments. The manufacturer, which entered the country in April 2026, has set a target: 70 points of sale by the end of 2026.

Marketing and Communications Shake-up

Guillaume Calvar, director of marketing, has expanded his team with the addition of David Dumont and Thomas Mesnil.

Dumont, 46, steps in as brand and communication manager. His career includes stints at Nissan France and Mitsubishi Motor France, alongside recent work with the Faubourg Group on brands like Carrosity and Traxall. Joining him is 49-year-old Thomas Mesnil, the new press relations manager. Mesnil arrives with a resume that includes collaborations with Volvo, Honda, DFSK, Leapmotor, and Cadillac.

Capturing the Corporate Fleet Sector

The company is also sharpening its focus on B2B sales. Linda Benzid has been named major accounts manager, reporting to Fleet Sales Manager Vincent Tintrelin. Her mandate is to drive growth among corporate clients and long-term rental firms.

Thomas Léonard, commercial and network development director, views this sector as vital. “Le canal des ventes flottes et sociétés est crucial sur notre marché,” Léonard said. He added that the company must engage with these partners through an experienced professional team as this segment is expected to take on an increasing role in Geely’s overall performance.

Scaling a Tech-Forward Brand

Geely is positioning itself as a generalist, technology-focused brand. Its pitch relies on high-end features—ventilated, massaging seats and panoramic roofs—offered at accessible price points.

Guillaume Calvar credits the parent group’s industrial history, including the ownership of London’s “Black Cabs” and the revitalization of Volvo, as the bedrock of this expansion. With 60 stores reportedly operational as of September, the company is now looking toward the Mondial de l’Auto in Paris to showcase its latest innovations to both private and professional customers.
