Botafogo is still active in the market, seeking reinforcements and expected to announce the signing of an attacker in the coming days. Prior to their 5-0 victory over Fortaleza at Castelão on Saturday (9), Léo Coelho, SAF Football director, detailed the club’s search and strategy during the transfer window, which also includes a need for a defender.
“Our project remains focused on the sale and purchase of players, and we are always looking for excellence, always seeking to exchange a piece for one that fits even better. So, we have been looking for some additions. There is an attacker that we are in the process of finalizing the hiring. And there are other athletes too, where we identify some kind of need or proposal,” he said in an interview with “Prime Video.”
The striker in question is Chris Ramos, from Cadiz CF in Spain. The 28-year-old, who was playing in the Spanish second division, is expected to arrive in Rio de Janeiro in the coming days to undergo medical examinations and sign a contract.
