Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Apple officially unveiled the iPhone 17 Series at its “Awe Dropping” Apple Event in Cupertino, california, United States, early Wednesday morning (September 10th).
Pre-orders for the iPhone 17 series began on September 12, 2025, in the United States.
Interestingly, the iPhone 17 maintains the same price point as the previous generation, but now offers larger storage options. This effectively makes certain iPhone 17 models more affordable than their iPhone 16 counterparts.
the base model iPhone 17 now starts with 256GB of storage for US$799 – the same price as the entry-level iPhone 16, which offered only 128GB.
The iPhone 17 Pro is priced starting at US$1,099 for the 256GB variant,mirroring last year’s iPhone 16 Pro pricing. However, Apple has discontinued the more affordable 128GB option previously available for US$999.
The top-of-the-line iPhone 17 Pro Max begins at US$1,199 for 256GB, with storage options extending up to 2TB for US$1,999.
With the iPhone 17 series, Apple has removed the ‘Plus’ variant, replacing it with the new ‘Air’ model – the thinnest iPhone the company has ever released. The iPhone Air boasts a thickness of just 5.6mm, and its lightweight design is thanks to a titanium build with a polished finish and Ceramic Shield 2 on both sides.
