A Hollywood career cut short at 50
Kimmarie Johnson, the actress and model recognized for her work on Beverly Hills, 90210 and the comedy Dude, Where’s My Car?, died Wednesday, November 4, 2026. She was 50.
Her niece, Rhonda Scott, confirmed to TMZ that Johnson suffered a “heart event” at her Los Angeles home on October 27. Following the incident, she was transported to Cedars-Sinai Hospital, where medical staff diagnosed her with a “heart aneurysm condition.” According to the report from TMZ, she passed away peacefully after her heart stopped beating.
From pageant stages to the screen
Born in Pittsburgh in April 1976, Johnson’s path to Hollywood was unconventional. She spent her early years working as a flight attendant and a model. Her profile rose in 1992 when she won the Miss Pennsylvania USA pageant, eventually securing a top-five finish at the 1993 Miss USA pageant.
By 1996, Johnson had relocated to Los Angeles. Her acting career took hold in 1998 with a guest role as Jane on Beverly Hills, 90210. She soon landed a spot on the Pamela Anderson series V.I.P. Her filmography is perhaps best remembered for her turn as one of the “jumpsuit chicks” in the 2000 comedy Dude, Where’s My Car? Her career also included roles in independent features such as Gang Warz, Spanish Fly, and The Summer of Massacre, with her final screen credit arriving in a 2017 episode of Tucker’s War.
Producer, entrepreneur, and public figure
Johnson balanced her time in front of the camera with work behind the scenes. She served as an executive producer for the 2005 film The Last Eve, which earned the Best Action Feature Film Award at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival. In 2011, she pivoted to the beauty industry, launching a skincare line, SkinGlow by Kimmarie.

Even as her acting work slowed, Johnson maintained a public presence. She was active on social media throughout the summer of 2026, sharing her attendance at an ESPN event for the network’s Life in the W docuseries. Her final red carpet appearance took place on March 15 at Popsugar’s Awards Season Afterparty at the SkyBar Mondrian hotel, according to Page Six.
Motherhood reduces professional commitments
Johnson scaled back her professional commitments after the 2003 birth of her son, Cameron Nino, who is now an Los Angeles-based musician. Her career also included appearances in Wanda at Large, Break A Leg, and Shadow Fury. Within the broader entertainment community, her death follows the passing of other notable Beverly Hills, 90210 alumni in recent years, including cast members Luke Perry and Shannon Doherty.
Lingering uncertainty regarding cause of death
Despite the information provided by her family regarding the “heart aneurysm condition” diagnosed during her hospitalization, an official cause of death has not been publicly released. Johnson is survived by her son, Cameron Nino, and her niece, Rhonda Scott.
