Aditi Toys Secures ₹36 Crore Funding to Expand Manufacturing and Global Reach

Rajkot-based toy manufacturer Aditi Toys has raised ₹36 crore (approximately $3.9 million) in a funding round led by GVFL (Gujarat Venture Finance Limited), with participation from the founders’ family and friends. The investment will be used to scale domestic manufacturing, fuel product innovation, and expand the company’s presence in both Indian and international markets.

Investment Details and Strategic Focus

The funding will be strategically deployed across several key areas, according to a joint statement from Aditi Toys’ co-founders, Subhash Zala and Arvind Zala. These include product development, tooling upgrades to enhance manufacturing capabilities, particularly in STEM and electronic toys – categories currently reliant on imports – and strengthening leadership talent, brand building, and technology-led operational improvements. Government Support for Domestic Toy Manufacturing

The investment in Aditi Toys aligns with the Indian government’s push to promote domestic toy manufacturing and establish India as a global toy hub. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s proposed National Action Plan for Toys, outlined in the Union Budget 2025-26, aims to develop clusters, enhance skills, and build a robust manufacturing ecosystem for high-quality, innovative, and sustainable ‘Made in India’ toys.

Recent Trends in Indian Toy Manufacturing Investment

Aditi Toys is not alone in attracting investment as the Indian toy industry gains momentum. In November of last year, Mirana Toys raised ₹57.5 crore (approximately $6.4 million) in a Series A round to establish a new manufacturing facility equipped with advanced machinery, including injection-moulding and die-casting machines, as well as in-house packaging lines.
