Aer Lingus Expands Cork Airport Summer Schedule with Increased Glasgow Flights and New Routes

Aer Lingus is bolstering its summer 2026 flight offerings from Cork Airport, with a focus on increased capacity to Glasgow and the introduction of new routes to Nice and Santiago de Compostela. The airline, operating through its regional arm Aer Lingus Regional, flown by Emerald Airlines, is responding to growing passenger demand and expanding its European network.

Increased Frequency to Glasgow

From May 25, 2026, Aer Lingus Regional will increase its service between Cork (ORK) and Glasgow (GLA) from four to six weekly flights. The additional flights will operate on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, providing passengers with greater flexibility and convenience . This expansion reflects strong demand for the route .

New European Routes

In addition to the Glasgow expansion, Aer Lingus is launching two new European routes from Cork Airport:

• Nice, France: Flights to Nice will commence on May 2, 2026.

Prague Service Extended

Tara Finn, head of aviation business development and communications at Cork Airport, expressed delight at the increased capacity to Glasgow and the addition of the new routes, stating that passengers will have “even more choice for travel from Cork Airport this coming Summer” . Susanne Carberry, Aer Lingus chief customer officer, emphasized the airline’s commitment to offering customers more choice and convenience, noting the addition of six new routes from Cork Airport in the past 12 months .
