Jay White Unveils The Cut After Fan Backlash

Jay White introduced his new All Elite Wrestling faction under the name The Cut hours after fan backlash forced the abandonment of its original moniker. The sudden rebrand followed the October 24, 2026, episode of AEW Collision in Winston-Salem, where White initially launched the alliance as The Last Outfit before shifting course online later that same night.

The group features an alliance between members of the Bang Bang Gang and The Dogs, including Juice Robinson, Ace Austin, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, David Finlay, and Clark Connors. Finlay and Connors joined White and the Bang Bang Gang on an episode of AEW Dynamite following an attack on Jon Moxley and the Death Riders. During the October 24 broadcast of Collision, White also wrestled in the main event, defeating Kyle O’Reilly.

Backstage Promo Details The Name Change

Following the conclusion of Saturday’s broadcast, AEW published a backstage video on social media showing White cutting a promo directed at Jon Moxley and the Death Riders. In the recorded segment, White dropped the original title and established the group’s new identity.

“We are top-shelf high rollers, the golden gun slingers, some dirty dogs, your Collision cowboys,” White stated in the promo. “We are the last outfit capable of slicing out the cancer that is Jon Moxley & the Death Riders from the heart of AEW! We are The Cut.”

Prior to settling on The Last Outfit during his in-ring address on Collision, White had teased reviving the Bullet Club name. Both White and Finlay previously led iterations of Bullet Club during their time in New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Official Roster Updates Reflect The Rebrand

AEW updated its official web roster page to list White and his allies under The Cut. The rapid transition marks one of the briefest durations for a faction name in recent company history, transitioning from its initial announcement to replacement within a single evening.
