Ant Group Rebrands Haodf Platform to AQ for Doctor
Ant Group officially upgraded its physician platform, Haodf for Doctor, into AQ for Doctor, launching an AI-powered workstation designed to support physicians across clinical practice. The August 12, 2026 corporate announcement, reported by Morningstar and FinancialContent, integrates the platform directly with Ant Group’s flagship AI health app, AQ, which serves over 100 million users.
Bridging the Gap Between Patients and Physicians
The integration of AQ for Doctor with the AQ app creates a connected AI experience serving both physicians and patients.
According to Ant Group Vice President and Head of the Health Business Zhang Junjie, AI serves as a trusted assistant rather than a replacement for medical professionals. The company aims to build a practical workstation for China’s more than five million physicians to improve efficiency and extend leading medical expertise to a broader patient base.
Expanding Specialty Coverage and Hybrid Review Models
The AQ app features an “AI response + doctor review” model in dermatology. This system allows AI-generated health guidance to be reviewed and verified by physicians from leading hospitals when users request professional confirmation.
The model has expanded to 16 specialties, including obstetrics and gynecology, and otolaryngology (ENT). Connecting AQ for Doctor to the app matches patient requests with available physicians more efficiently.
Opening Online Hospitals to National Institutions
For the first time, the upgrade opens AQ for Doctor to hospitals and healthcare institutions nationwide. Institutions can now establish and operate their own online hospitals as platform partners. Previously, only physicians affiliated with Haodf’s online hospital could provide online consultations through the service.
Under the new model, hospitals can onboard directly, enabling their physicians to manage online consultations, follow-up care, and patient records through a single unified platform instead of switching between multiple systems.
Guangzhou Hospital Joins as First Institutional Partner
Guangzhou Women and Children’s Medical Center, a leading women’s and children’s hospital in China, became the first hospital to join under this model. Hospital representatives noted that the partnership improves patient access to care while helping coordinate high-quality medical resources.
Streamlining Workflows With AI Assistants and Agents
AQ for Doctor introduces two core AI capabilities: the AI Medical Assistant and the AI Doctor Agent.
For patient management, physicians can configure a 24-hour AI Doctor Agent to conduct pre-visit interviews, answer routine health questions, and handle post-treatment follow-up. Prior to appointments, the agent compiles patient information, organizes medical histories, and flags key clinical findings. Following consultations, it continues answering routine questions and automatically generates follow-up summaries synchronized with patient health records. For clinical decision support, the AI Medical Assistant provides instant medical knowledge searches.
