Apple Expands U.S. Manufacturing with New American Manufacturing Program Partners

Apple is bolstering its commitment to U.S. Manufacturing through its American Manufacturing Program (AMP), adding Bosch, Cirrus Logic, TDK, and Qnity Electronics as new partners. The company plans to invest $400 million with these firms through 2030 to produce essential materials and components within the United States, supporting job creation and strengthening domestic manufacturing capabilities.

New AMP Members and Their Contributions

The expansion of the AMP reflects Apple’s broader $600 billion, four-year commitment to U.S. Manufacturing and innovation. Each new partner will play a distinct role in enhancing Apple’s supply chain within the country:

  • TDK: The company’s U.S. Facility will supply TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) sensors for apply in Apple devices globally, increasing the volume of chips sourced from U.S. Silicon supply chains.
  • Bosch: Apple, Bosch, and TSMC will collaborate to produce integrated circuits (ICs) for Bosch’s new sensing hardware at TSMC Washington in Camas, Washington.
  • Cirrus Logic: Apple is working with Cirrus Logic and GlobalFoundries to establish new semiconductor process technologies at GlobalFoundries’ facility in Malta, New York.
  • Qnity Electronics & HD MicroSystems: These companies will provide cutting-edge materials and technologies crucial for semiconductor manufacturing and advanced electronics.

Expanding U.S. Production of Apple Products

This initiative builds on Apple’s existing efforts to increase domestic production. Later in 2026, Apple will begin manufacturing a portion of its Mac mini supply in the United States, joining the Mac Pro, which is already produced domestically. 9to5Mac reported on these plans in February 2026.

Apple has too secured its global supply of iPhone and Apple Watch cover glass from U.S. Sources, further demonstrating its dedication to American manufacturing and component production. 9to5Mac detailed this sourcing shift in August 2025.

Further details on Apple’s new AMP member plans are available in the official press release.
