Argo Tractors Strengthens Latin American Partnerships with Dealer Visit to Italy

Argo Tractors, the manufacturer of Landini and McCormick tractors, recently hosted twenty-five importers from Central and South America for a three-day visit to its Italian facilities. The event, themed “Creciendo Juntos” (Growing Together), aimed to deepen collaboration and showcase the company’s latest investments.

Motor Valley Tour

From March 2nd to 4th, the importers toured Argo Tractors’ plants in the province of Reggio Emilia, Italy. Visits included the company’s headquarters in Fabbrico, the facility in San Martino in Rio, and the newly established plant in Campagnola, where transaxles are produced. The tour provided an inside look at the production processes and product range.

Investment and Expansion in Latin America

“Welcoming our partners from Central and South American markets to Italy was an excellent opportunity to showcase and share the latest investments made in the Group’s plants, both in terms of product range and cutting-edge production processes,” stated Simeone Morra, Business Corporate Director of Argo Tractors. The company has long-standing relationships in markets like Chile (40 years) and Costa Rica (25 years), and has recently expanded into Argentina and Colombia.

Focus on Specialized Sectors and Digital Solutions

Argo Tractors focuses on specialized agricultural sectors, including winegrowing, fruit and vegetable production, and oil-palm cultivation. The company is also investing in digital solutions to enhance productivity for farmers, with tractors exceeding 150 horsepower. The McCormick X8.634 VT-Drive, a 340 horsepower model, was presented as the new flagship of the McCormick brand.

Logistics and After-Sales Support

The visit also highlighted Argo Parts’ logistics center, capable of processing over 600,000 order lines annually, and the strengthened partnership with TVH. Best practices for improving product quality were shared with the Argo Tractors Service Department in Campagnola.

New Leadership in Latin America

Javier Rodríguez Buerba was appointed as the General Manager of the McCormick Mexico branch and the Landini and McCormick distribution network in Latin America on March 29, 2021, to continue the company’s expansion policy in the region.
