Arizona Wildcats Poised for Deep Tournament Run Led by Jaden Bradley
TUCSON, AZ – As the Arizona Wildcats enter the NCAA tournament as a one seed, much of the team’s success is attributed to the exceptional play of senior guard Jaden Bradley. Bradley’s journey, marked by loyalty and development, has culminated in a standout season and positioned Arizona for a potential deep run in March Madness.
Bradley’s Rise to Prominence
Over three seasons with the Wildcats, Bradley has been a consistent presence. This year, however, he has elevated his game to new heights, earning recognition as the Big 12 Player of the Year, a First Team All-Conference selection, and the Big 12 Tournament MVP. Bradley transferred to Arizona after one year at Alabama, stating he felt Tucson was the ideal place to develop his skills.
“I am just excited to be here,” Bradley said. “With all the transfer stuff, I just felt like this was the place I could really develop.” He described his senior night experience, cutting down the nets with his family, as a dream come true.
Key Stats and Accolades
Bradley is averaging 13.3 points and 4.5 assists per game whereas shooting 46% from the field and 40% from three-point range. His impact extends beyond statistics, with ESPN recognizing him as one of the best two-way players and late-game performers in the country.
Teammates Shine Alongside Bradley
Bradley isn’t the only Wildcat receiving national attention. Freshman guard Brayden Burries, the No. 11 national recruit, is averaging 15.9 points per game on 49.2% shooting and 36.7% from beyond the arc. He has earned All-Big 12 First Team and AP All-American honorable mention honors.
Freshman forward Koa Peat, averaging 13.6 points per game on 53% shooting, has also been recognized with All-Big 12 Third Team honors.
Tournament Outlook
Arizona, alongside Florida, Iowa State, Michigan, and UConn, is one of five teams with three players ranked in ESPN’s top 50 tournament players. The Wildcats will face Long Island University in the first round on Friday, March 20, in San Diego. The game will be televised on TNT. Bradley expressed his desire to bring a championship back to Tucson, echoing the joy past Final Four teams brought to the city.
