Arizona Women’s Golf Tied for 12th at Darius Rucker Invitational After Round One
Hilton Head Island, SC – The No. 23 University of Arizona Women’s Golf team concluded the first round of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate tied for 12th place on Friday, March 2, 2026. The Wildcats posted a team score of 16-over par in challenging, windy conditions at Long Cove Club.
Back Leads the Way for Arizona
Charlotte Back paced the Wildcats with an even-par 71, placing her inside the top ten of the individual standings. Back recorded rounds of 35 and 36 during her opening 18 holes. Nena Wongthanavimok followed with a 4-over par 75, highlighted by a strong 34 on the back nine. Julia Misemer carded a 5-over 76, while freshman Kinsley Ni added a 78 (+7) in her collegiate debut at the event. Sara Vitasek rounded out the Arizona lineup with an 80 (+9).
Tournament Details
The Darius Rucker Intercollegiate features a strong field, including Alabama and No. 21 South Carolina. Arizona will return to the course on Saturday, March 3, 2026, at 9:10 am MST, aiming to climb the leaderboard.
