The selection comes after a remarkable indoor season for the Colorado senior. Pearson became the first Buffalo to break the two-minute barrier in the 800 meters indoors, clocking a time of 1:59.98 at altitude, setting a new Colorado program record [Athletics Canada].
Her time of 2:00.76 ranks sixth all-time in Canadian indoor history and third among NCAA indoor performances at altitude [Athletics Canada].
Big 12 Champion
Pearson also secured the 600-yard title at the Big 12 Indoor Championships, winning the event in meet-record time, further solidifying her position as a top middle-distance runner [Athletics Canada].
