A page turns this Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Baud, with the resumption of the legendary P2one of the largest nightclubs of Morbihan.

Jacky Jaffredo and his wife, Marie, hand over to Frédéric Vichot and Benjamin Rolland, two local entrepreneurs: the first owns the Karacter bar, which adjoins the nightclub, and the second owns the Ludana treetop adventure park, in Camors. Frédéric even ran a pub in the 2000s, in the town center of Baud (l’Art scénique, on the site of the current Flameembo restaurant).

Mecca of partying in Morbihan

Marie and Jacky Jaffredo say they are happy to pass on their establishment to local boys, who will continue the same activity. Because the story could have ended there, with a real estate project, ultimately aborted, “and so much the better…”

For their part, the two buyers, long-time friends, knew that one day they would have a business together, “but without thinking of a discotheque!” » They positioned themselves in the fall.

The choice of P2 is not trivial, however. Both are attached to this mecca of celebrations for having frequented it. Obviously, since they come from… Pluvigner and Baud!

« It’s not just any challengethis goes beyond keeping a nightclub going. The Podium 2000, called P2, is a story, a 52-year legacy that Jacky and Marie have entrusted to us,” they emphasize.

More than 50 years of history

The Jaffredo couple are supporting them in this recovery, and are still struggling to achieve it. “It’s a family story: it was my parents who founded the establishment in 1973,” says Jacky Jaffredo. Already traders in Baud, they ran a bar-butcher shop facing the cemetery, on the site of the current Delmas butcher shop, “but my father was a musician and passionate about music. » It was he who created the Podium 2000.

“I was 20 years old, I was already there,” remembers the man who will never leave the place again, despite the trials of life, since his father died suddenly, just a few years after the opening of the nightclub. “It was complicated, but we continued with my mother and my brother. For 15 years I was even behind the decks, as a DJ,” he continues.

It was also within these walls that he met his wife, Marie, who has been with the company for 47 years. “We met in nightclubs at the time; we weren’t the only ones! Now, it’s changed, it’s on the networks…”, regrets Jacky.

Over the decades, they have seen generations pass by and developed the establishment, doubling its capacity from 600 to 1,100 people. In 1990, they also opened a pub: the Newton, now the Karacter.

Lucenzo February 14

Frédéric Vichot and Benjamin Rolland are not going to change habits. “We’re going to give ourselves a little time, get our bearings.” However, changes are planned “from the second half of 2026, on decoration, scenography, etc. Ideas are flowing! »

In the meantime, they are meeting for the inaugural handover evening, on February 14, with a distinguished guest: Lucenzoan essential figure in festive and Latin music. No one has escaped, one day, his world-famous hit, Danza Kuduro, which continues to get people dancing at parties.
