South Korean Cloud MSPs Expand Globally, Focus on AI and Digital Transformation
South Korean Managed Service Providers (MSPs) are rapidly expanding their international presence, driven by domestic market saturation and the increasing adoption of cloud-based services. Key players like Megazone Cloud and Bespin Global are focusing on regions including Southeast Asia, Japan, the Middle East, and North America, while too investing heavily in Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions to support digital transformation initiatives for their clients.
Global Expansion Strategies
Leading MSPs are pursuing diverse strategies to broaden their reach. Megazone Cloud currently operates in seven countries – the US, Japan, and Canada among them – and has formed a joint venture with Itochu Techno-Solutions to strengthen its localization efforts in Japan . The company is also partnering with major cloud service providers like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud to access overseas markets . Megazone Cloud is preparing for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) in 2026, having engaged Samsung Securities and JPMorgan as underwriters .
Bespin Global is taking an aggressive approach, with 15 offices in nine countries and over 5,000 global clients . Their strategy emphasizes thorough localization, including hiring local experts and collaborating with local partners. Bespin Global anticipates achieving $100 million in annual revenue in the US this year and plans to go public within the next one to two years . The company has been recognized as a Visionary in the 2024 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Cloud IT Transformation Services for the eighth consecutive year and was named the 2023 AWS Global MSP Partner of the Year .
Focus on AI and Digital Transformation
Both Megazone Cloud and Bespin Global are prioritizing AI-driven solutions. Bespin Global is supporting KB Life in its AI-centered digital transformation, focusing initially on a “screening QnA” service designed to streamline information retrieval for reviewers . This involves establishing a document preprocessing system and data pipeline to refine documents for AI use . Megazone Cloud is set to release an updated version of its enterprise AI platform, ‘Air Studio,’ at its ‘ICON 2026’ conference, which will feature over 200 global partners, including Google Cloud, Microsoft, and AWS .
Increased Competition in the Cloud Market
The expansion of South Korean MSPs coincides with increased competition in the cloud service market, spurred by AWS and Microsoft . SK Telecom and KT are also strengthening their cloud service teams in response to competition from Megazone, Bespin, and Metanet .
Bespin Global offers services across multiple cloud platforms, including Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure , and provides FinOps solutions to automate cost optimization and maximize savings .
