the spokesperson added.
Tributes and Community Response Following the Discovery
Samantha Niblett, the MP for South Derbyshire, shared a statement on Facebook addressing the tragedy.
I am so very sad to read an update from James’ dad that James is no longer with us,
Niblett said in her statement. Thinking of James’ dad and mum, their family, and friends at this sad time of unimaginable pain and loss. Please remember their hearts will be broken and if they read anything online it should be kind words and consideration, no speculation.
Residents and community members who had previously mobilized to assist with search efforts were also thanked for their solidarity during the search. The disappearance had prompted immediate concern from investigators who noted it was completely out of character for the teenager.
