Brenda is survived by her husband, Wayne Bloodworth; her daughter, Marcia Bloodworth Catrett (Scott); grandchildren, Jamie-leigh Reddish (Kyle) and Bailey Catrett (Blake); great-grandchildren, Wyatt Catrett, Maverick Reddish, Mason Reddish, McKinleigh Catrett, with another great-grandchild on the way; and her brothers, Sonny Starling, John Starling, and Jimmy Starling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellie Mae Sterling and Lewis Mazel Starling, and her brothers, Danny Starling, Stevie Starling, and Edward Starling.
Passions and Faith
Brenda was known for her joyful personality and her ability to connect with everyone she met. She found fulfillment in hobbies like arranging flowers for loved ones’ graves, sewing, and playing volleyball. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and embraced new experiences with enthusiasm.
A woman of faith, Brenda was Baptist and attended Kirkland Memorial Baptist for over 20 years.
Services
Visitation will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907, on March 9, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. A Funeral Service will follow at the same location at 3:00 pm. A Committal Service will then accept place at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907, on March 9, 2026.
