Traffic Collision in Altentreptow Injures One

Altentreptow, Germany – January 11, 2025 – A traffic accident occurred at approximately 7:45 p.m.on the L35 near Altentreptow, involving a Honda Jazz and a winter service clearance vehicle. The incident resulted in important property damage and injuries to one individual.

According to a statement released by the neubrandenburg Police Headquarters, the driver of the Honda Jazz, a 45-year-old woman, was traveling on Fritz-Reuter-Straße and approaching the intersection with the L35. She intended to make a left turn onto the L35.

Simultaneously, a 38-year-old man was operating a winter service clearance vehicle on the L35, traveling from Klatzow towards Neddemin. Police report that the driver of the Honda Jazz failed to yield the right-of-way to the clearance vehicle, leading to a collision.

The impact caused approximately €10,000 in property damage. the 45-year-old driver of the Honda Jazz sustained serious, though non-life-threatening, injuries and was transported to the Neubrandenburg Clinic for medical attention. The driver of the winter service vehicle was uninjured.

The Honda Jazz sustained extensive damage and was rendered inoperable, requiring it to be towed from the scene. Authorities have confirmed that all individuals involved in the accident are German citizens.

The inquiry into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
