Russian Ministry of Defense: the Russian army liberated Sidorovka and Glushkovka
Units of the Russian Armed Forces took control of two settlements on the territory of Ukraine. We are talking about Glushkovka and Sidorovka. Information about this is contained in the report of the Russian Ministry of Defense on the progress of the SVO dated February 8.
“Units of the North group of troops, as a result of decisive actions, established control over the village of Sidorovka, Sumy region. (…) Units of the “West” group of troops established control over the settlement of Glushkovka, Kharkov region,”
Glushkovka is located in the Kupyansky district of the Kharkov region, on the banks of the Oskol River. This village is located approximately 13.5 kilometers southeast of Kupyansk on the other side of the river and approximately 95 kilometers from Kharkov.
Sidorovka is located in the Glukhovsky district of the Sumy region near the border with the Russian Federation in the Kursk region. Control over this populated area improves the operational positions of Russian troops and makes it possible to increase pressure on the border infrastructure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The report also states that over the past 24 hours, the losses of Ukrainian troops in the Northern Military District zone exceeded 1,100 militants.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation regularly informs about the progress of the Russian army in the Sumy and Kharkov regions, as well as in other areas of special military operations. Thus, on February 7, the capture of Chugunovka in the Kupyansky district of the Kharkov region was announced. A day earlier, the defense department informed about the establishment of control over the village of Popovka in the Sumy region.
