Charlie Sheen Says He Still Hasn’t Spoken to Jon Cryer Since Documentary Release Charlie Sheen has revealed he has not spoken to his former “Two and a Half Men” costar Jon Cryer since the release of his Netflix documentary, despite making a public plea to reconnect. In an exclusive interview with People, Sheen confirmed he wrote to Cryer to express gratitude for his honest and compassionate participation in the documentary titled “Aka Charlie Sheen,” but received no response. “It was really cool to hear from his perspective,” Sheen told the outlet. “He was in the line of fire with all that stupid s–t going on, and it was affecting him and his family and his career and all that. I can’t debate anything that he said.” Sheen speculated that his message may have gone to the wrong number, adding, “I’m thinking I wrote to the wrong number. It’s not like Jon did not respond. He’s super responsible like that. So if you’re reading this, Jon, DM me your new number!” Cryer, who appeared in the documentary, previously shared his perspective on their fractured relationship during a January appearance on “Club Random With Bill Maher.” He stated, “We don’t have a relationship anymore. I wish him the best. We have some mutual friends still, and I’ve heard he’s been sober for a while, which is great to hear.” Reflecting on their time working together on the sitcom, Cryer noted their early years were positive but deteriorated over time. “After ‘Two and a Half Men’ premiered in 2003, they ‘had a great first few years on the reveal,'” Cryer told People TV in 2020. “It was incredibly smooth. We had a lovely time. It was working really well.” He added that Sheen was initially sober and proud of it, but things changed after his marriage to Denise Richards ended. The documentary features interviews with Sheen’s family, friends, exes, and former castmates, offering his personal account of the events surrounding his departure from the long-running CBS series. Despite Sheen’s outreach, Cryer has not engaged in direct communication since the film’s release.
