Clara Louise Blotsky, a longtime resident of Bismarck, North Dakota, passed away on February 13, 2026, at the age of 92. She was known for her strength, grace, and unwavering love for her family.
Early Life and Family
Born on July 22, 1933, Clara was raised on her family farm in Flasher, North Dakota. She married Basilius “Bill” Blotsky on October 4, 1955, and they shared 68 years of marriage until Bill’s passing in January 2024. Basilius Blotsky Obituary

Clara is survived by her seven children: Cliff (Laura) Blotsky of Chaska, Minnesota; Karen (Steve) Wolff of Bismarck; Deb McCrory of Bismarck; Ellen (Gerard) Klein of Bismarck; Randy (Sandra) Blotsky of Florida; Patty (Darrel) Bosch of Bismarck; and Aaron (Mandy) Blotsky of Prior Lake, Minnesota. She is also survived by three brothers, Pius, Hugo, and Jim Ternes, and one sister, Esther Dietz.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her parents, Tony and Anna Ternes; and three brothers, Leander, Louis, and Alvin Ternes. Clara Blotsky Obituary
Military Connection
Clara’s husband, Bill Blotsky, served in the military for 40 years, beginning with his draft into the Army at the end of the Korean War. He retired as a Sergeant Major and was passionate about his service to his country. Basilius “Bill” Blotsky

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on February 20, 2026, at Ascension Catholic Church, located at 1825 S 3rd St, Bismarck, ND 58504. Visitation will be held from 5:00–7:00 PM on February 19, 2026, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck, ND 58503, with a Rosary/Vigil service beginning at 7:00 PM.
