Coeur d’Alene Casino Celebrates 33rd Anniversary Powwow

The Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel is hosting its 33rd Anniversary Powwow on Saturday, March 21, 2026. The event, a celebration of Native American culture and tradition, will feature Grand Entries at 1 p.m. And 7 p.m.

Event Details

The powwow will be held at the Event Center within the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel, located at 37914 S Nukwalqw Rd, Worley, ID 83876. All dancers in regalia will be paid during the evening session.

Honorees and Key Participants

Jonathon Nomee will serve as the Head Man, and Aralynn Abrahamson will be the Head Woman for the powwow. Greyowl Nomee is the Arena Director, and Quanah Matheson will be the Master of Ceremonies. Northern Cree is the Host Drum, with invited drums including Black Lodge, Dancing Eagle, Lightning Creek Warpony, White Hawk, Wild Rose, and Yamncut. Rose Creek and White Horse will serve as Honorary Host Drums.

Special Competitions and Prizes

The powwow will include special competitions for Men’s Grass, Men’s Traditional, and Switch Dance. Prizes of $500, $300, and $200 will be awarded for these categories. A special prize will also be awarded for Head Man – Short Fringe Basket Hat and Head Woman – Old Style Jingle.

Family Night

A Family Night event was held on Friday, March 20, offering opportunities for name-giving ceremonies, rejoinings, and community building. The resort described the evening as “a space for healing, comfort and good intentions.”
