Comedia Estable Municipal Debuts Temblar Es La Cisura De La Memoria in Catamarca
The Municipalidad de la Capital, through the Comedia Estable Municipal, premiered its second theatrical production of the 2026 season on Friday, October 30, at 21:00 hours, titled “Temblar es la cisura de la memoria.” Written and directed by Tatiana Valdez, the current director of the municipal ensemble, the stage production takes place at the main hall of the Complejo Cultural Urbano Girardi on Avenida Ocampo 60, with a second performance scheduled for Saturday, October 31, at the same hour, offering free admission to the entire community.
The stage proposal centers on the memories of a grandmother and the questions of a granddaughter who, following her predecessor’s death, rebuilds fragments of her family history. This narrative weaves together devotion, popular rituals, violence, caregiving duties, and the desire to transform inherited mandates from the women of the NOA. The intimate story connects directly with the region’s seismic conditions and collective memory, treating tremors not only as real geological events that move the earth and alter bodies, but also as poetic metaphors for inevitable disruptions that challenge established certainties and forge new shared meanings.
