The concert and massive events industry in Costa Rica generated more than 7,000 direct and indirect jobs during 2025, according to data from BAC and its platform Eticket.
The figure reflects the impact of the entertainment ecosystem on the national economy, with jobs ranging from technical work to operational and executive positions.
Each concert involves, on average, seven companies from different sectors, including security, cleaning, food, logistics and production.
Jobs have varying lengths: from three days in basic operations to four weeks in executive production roles.
“BAC’s purpose with the concerts is to generate memorable experiences, but also to boost the national economy through jobs and commercial alliances,” explained José Alexis Jiménez, BAC Marketing Manager.
The beneficiaries of this type of employment include young people, women heads of households and small business providers of services in each event.
The impact also extends to indirect sectors such as tourism, transportation and local commerce, especially in areas close to the venues.
During 2025, BAC’s commercial allies held more than 85 events, including concerts and sports activities.
The most attended shows were those of Bad Bunny, Picnic, Chayanne, Carin León and Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, while X-Knights led among sporting events.
More than 550,000 people attended these events throughout the year, consolidating Costa Rica as an attractive market for the entertainment industry.
For 2026, presentations by Ed Sheeran, The Killers, Ricardo Arjona and a new edition of the Picnic festival are already confirmed.
