UD Almería announced on Wednesday evening that the club will donate all ticket sales revenue from its home match against CD Tenerife to the family of Jesús de Miguel, extra.ie reported. De Miguel, a 30-year-old Tenerife striker, died on Tuesday morning after suffering a cardiac arrest following a collision with FC Andorra goalkeeper Jesús Owona during a match on Monday.
The fixture between Almería and Tenerife is scheduled for April, corresponding to matchday 34 in the Spanish second division. In a statement posted to social media, the club said the decision was driven by a sense of social and humanitarian responsibility, adding that the initiative came from club president Mr Mohammed Al Khereiji.

the club stated, as cited by extra.ie. UD Almería also extended an invitation to the player’s family to attend the match if circumstances allow.
