Charlotte Soccer Academy Announces Tryouts for 2026-2027 Teams

Registration is now open for tryouts for the Charlotte Soccer Academy (CSA) 2026-2027 teams. Players interested in participating should review club and program information prior to registering. All players, both fresh and returning, are required to attend tryouts to be considered for team placement.

Program Information and Registration

The Club and Program Information section details CSA’s programs, regions, levels of play, and player development pathway for each age group. It is highly recommended that new players familiarize themselves with this information before the tryout process.

Online registration will close on the Friday before the first tryout date for each program. CSA has transitioned to a new registration platform, LeagueApps, requiring all families to create an account and upload a player’s birth certificate or passport during registration. The tryout registration fee is $35 if registered and paid by the deadline, or $50 for walk-up registration at the field (credit or debit card preferred).

Age Group Updates

US Youth Soccer is returning to seasonal-year age divisions for the 2026-2027 season. Players must register for tryouts within their correct age group. Requests to endeavor out for an older age group require prior approval from the Director of Coaching (DOC).

Tryout Programs

CSA offers tryouts for several programs, including:

• ECNL Boys (U13-U19): Tryouts are invitation-only, requiring a code for registration. Current CSA ECNL players and 12U Pre-ECNL players will receive invitations from their Program Director. Other CSA players and new USYS players should contact their DOC to discuss ECNL-level play and request a code.
• ECNL Girls (Rising U13-U15): Information regarding tryouts is forthcoming.
• Charlotte Man City Pre-ECNL/Pre-ECNL Tryouts (9U-12U Boys and Girls): Details are forthcoming.
• North/Huntersville Man City Pre-ECNL Tryouts (10U-12U Boys and Girls): Details are forthcoming.
• National Premier Leagues (NPL) Uptown/Matthews and Palisades/York (U13-U19 Boys): Tryouts are invitation-only, requiring a code. Current CSA NPL players and 12U Pre-NPL players will receive invitations. Interested players not currently with CSA must submit a resume to the director.
• National League (NL) Uptown/Matthews Girls Program (13U-15U Girls): Tryouts are invitation-only, requiring a code. Current CSA NL players and 12U Pre-NL players will receive invitations. Interested players not currently with CSA must submit a resume to the director.
• Youth Academy and USYS Tryouts (8U-19U Boys and Girls): Open to all players.

Important Notes

• Players should register for only one program. If intending to try out for multiple programs, register for the highest-level program.
• Attending both scheduled sessions for your tryout group is strongly recommended.
• If a schedule conflict arises, register for tryouts and contact your coach or DOC with details.
• Teams will be selected from the players registered for each section’s tryouts.
