Dacke Industri Strengthens European Footprint with Acquisitions of M&M Instruments and Midland Flow
Swedish industrial group Dacke Industri has expanded its presence in key European markets through the acquisition of two companies specializing in flow control technology: Italy’s Rotork Instruments S.r.l., to be rebranded as M&M Instruments S.r.l., and the UK’s Rotork Midland Ltd, to be renamed Midland Flow Ltd. The acquisitions, completed on March 5th and March 10th, 2026, respectively, are part of Rotork Plc’s divestment process and aim to bolster Dacke Industri’s Air Technology platform.
Midland Flow Ltd: A UK-Based Specialist
Midland Flow Ltd, headquartered in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom, specializes in high-quality solenoid valves and instrumentation for demanding industrial applications. Dacke Industri acquired 100% of the shares in Rotork Midland Ltd on March 5th, 2026. The company manufactures products under the Midland-ACS and Alcon brands, designing 316L stainless steel control equipment used in industrial control systems.
Midland Flow’s product range includes control systems for pneumatic and hydraulic control valves, electro-pneumatic and electro-hydraulic actuators, local control panels, manifolds, and essential components such as solenoid valves, level controls, gas detection, and fire-fighting equipment. The company employs approximately 44 people and has an annual turnover of about £7.5 million. John Turner, CEO of Midland Flow Ltd, stated that joining Dacke Industri provides a stable foundation and shared vision for future growth.
Midland Flow Ltd will develop into part of the Air Technology Business Area within the Air and Mechatronics division, enhancing knowledge sharing and collaboration across the group.
M&M Instruments S.r.l.: Italian Valve Expertise
M&M Instruments S.r.l., located in Bergamo, Italy, designs and manufactures solenoid and piston-actuated valves for commercial and industrial flow-control applications. Dacke Industri acquired 100% of Rotork Instruments S.r.l. On March 10th, 2026. The company employs approximately 40 people and reports an annual turnover of about EUR 8 million. Flavio Coscia, CEO of M&M Instruments, expressed that joining Dacke Industri represents a significant opportunity to consolidate achievements and accelerate growth.
Strategic Expansion for Dacke Industri
These acquisitions align with Dacke Industri’s strategy to strengthen its position in key markets and expand its flow-control portfolio. Both companies will integrate into the Air Technology business area within the Air and Mechatronics division. The existing leadership teams at both Midland Flow Ltd and M&M Instruments S.r.l. Will continue to guide their respective organizations.
Dacke Industri, owned by The North Star, now comprises 33 subsidiaries across four divisions, employing approximately 1,900 people with net sales of around SEK 4.9 trillion.
