Performance and Design

Both the XPS 14 and XPS 16 share similar internal specifications. They are powered by a 16-core Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor, paired with 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 1TB SSD. The laptops boast a sleek, metal build, approximately 15mm thick, and are equipped with three Thunderbolt 4 ports, a 4K webcam with Windows Hello support, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, dual microphones, and four Dolby Atmos speakers .

Enhanced Keyboard and User Experience

Dell listened to user feedback and has addressed previous complaints regarding the keyboard. The new models feature physical function keys rather of touch buttons, and even the base models will include black keys for improved visibility with the backlight. While maintaining a stylish aesthetic, Dell has also slightly improved the key spacing, though the placement of the power button near the Delete key remains a potential issue.

Display Options and Battery Life

Consumers can choose between two display options: a non-touch IPS LCD (2K resolution,500 nits brightness,1-120Hz refresh rate) and a touch-enabled OLED (2.8/3.2K resolution, 400 nits brightness, 20-120Hz refresh rate). A key innovation is the display’s ability to dynamically adjust its refresh rate down to 1Hz for static content, maximizing power efficiency.Dell claims the XPS 14 and 16 can deliver up to 27 hours of office use or over 40 hours of video playback.
