De Zolder van Den Helder Finds Modern Home in Former BCC Building

Den Helder, Netherlands – March 8, 2026 – Secondhand store De Zolder van Den Helder has officially opened its doors at a new location: the former BCC building in the Ravelijncenter. The move comes after the store was forced to leave its previous location on Burgemeester Ritmeesterweg due to expansion plans by the property owner.

A New Chapter for a Local Favorite

The former BCC store, located in the Ravelijncenter, had been vacant since the end of October 2023. North Kop 247 reports that the official opening of De Zolder’s new space took place this past Saturday.

From Praxis to Ravelijncenter

De Zolder van Den Helder previously operated from a rented space next to the Praxis store on Burgemeester Ritmeesterweg. The relocation to the Ravelijncenter provides a new opportunity for the popular secondhand shop. According to Wendy Vosse, co-owner of De Zolder, some remnants of the previous tenant, BCC, are still visible within the building, though the green color scheme has been updated. North Kop 247
