Protest Scale adn Underlying Issues

Journalist Petyo Tsekov expressed surprise at the scale of recent protests, stating, “It is difficult to predict where the protests will go. I am surprised by their scale.” He made these comments during the “More of the Day” program on BNT.

PR expert Diana Damyanova offered a different perspective, noting she wasn’t surprised, as she closely follows trends on TikTok. She criticized the budget, stating, “The budget is terrible because it fed the state sector at the expense of the private sector.”

Tsekov emphasized that the protests have evolved beyond the budget itself, now targeting specific individuals. He observed a pattern in Bulgarian society, stating, “In Bulgaria, people gather not to rejoice, but to protest against someone or something.”
