Darkroom Expands Anime Library with Rare Titles Including *Crusher Joe* and *Simoun*

Streaming platform Darkroom has expanded its catalog of independent, foreign, arthouse and cult-classic content with the addition of several hard-to-find anime titles. The new releases include the action film *Crusher Joe* and its sequels, the surreal comedy *Haré + Guu DELUXE* and *Haré + Guu FINAL*, and the sci-fi series *Simoun*.

Crusher Joe: A Space Adventure with a Mystery at Its Core

The film, *Crusher Joe*, centers on an escort mission that spirals when passengers vanish, leaving the crew accused of space piracy and their licenses suspended for six months. To clear their names, they have to solve the crime and save the passengers.

Recent additions include *Crusher Joe: A Trap of the Frozen Jail*, where the crew must prevent a prison from being destroyed, and *Crusher Joe: The Final Weapon ASH*, which sees the team retrieve a dangerous weapon amid military corruption.

Surreal Comedies and Sci-Fi Series Join the Roster

Darkroom also added *Haré + Guu DELUXE* and *Haré + Guu FINAL*. *Haré + Guu DELUXE* follows Haré and Guu returning to the jungle to find the familiar old gang, a psychotic new schoolteacher, and a couple of goth roaches. *Haré + Guu FINAL* follows Weda deciding to take Haré and Guu to the city, where Haré is sent to a private school.

The platform’s sci-fi series *Simoun* rounds out the new additions. Set on Planet Daikuuriku, where everyone is born female, the show explores war between the industrialized nation of Argentum and Simulacrum, involving magical flying machines called Simoun.
