Actor Julia Stiles and her professional partner Ezra Sosa were eliminated from Dancing with the Stars on a Broadway-themed Disney Night on ABC and Disney+, marking her exit as the ninth celebrity sent home.
Why did Julia Stiles leave Dancing with the Stars on Monday night?
Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa exited the competition after performing a paso doble to “Satisfied” from Hamilton, which earned them 33 out of 40 points from the judges, according to reporting by Yahoo News Canada. Guest judge Cynthia Erivo joined regular judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli for the Broadway-inspired evening.
Following her elimination, Stiles said tearfully that it had been an incredible experience and that she pulled things out of herself that she did not realize were there, adding that she was going to be sad not to see Ezra Sosa every day. Sosa told the actor that to see her growth in and outside the ballroom had been an absolute honour and that he was so lucky to share the experience. Backstage after the show, pro dancer Daniella Karagach called the elimination gut-wrenching, while reality star Maura Higgins described it as a shock.
Who earned perfect scores on Broadway Disney Night?
Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Dewan both secured the night’s top individual scores by earning perfect 40/40 marks from the judges, as detailed by The Hollywood Reporter. Shum Jr. and partner Jenna Johnson performed a jazz routine to “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” from Mary Poppins, featuring a live performance by Kyra Belle Johnson, marking their second consecutive perfect score following the season’s first 40/40 the previous week. Jenna Dewan and partner Val Chmerkovskiy matched the score with a quickstep to “Be Our Guest” from Beauty and the Beast, accompanied by live vocals from Rodney Ingram. Other solo scores from the night included Ezra Frech and Daniella Karagach with 37/40 for a samba to “Under the Sea” from The Little Mermaid, Amber Glenn and Pasha Pashkov with 34/40 for a quickstep to “A Star Is Born” from Hercules, Tatyana Ali and Jan Ravnik with 33/40 for a contemporary routine to “Easy as Life” from Aida, Maura Higgins and Mark Ballas with 32/40 for a jive to “You Can Fly! You Can Fly! You Can Fly!” from Peter Pan, and Connor Wood and Rylee Arnold with 32/40 for a waltz to “I See the Light” from Tangled.

The episode also featured two team dances. Connor Wood served as the captain for Team Wildcats, while Tatyana Ali captained Team Slaytopia.
Who won immunity for next week’s dance-off?
Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson secured immunity from the following week’s dance-off after winning a tiebreaker at the top of the leaderboard. Although both Shum Jr. and Dewan earned matching 40/40 scores for their solo routines, immunity rules dictated that ties would be broken by cumulative season totals. Shum Jr. and Johnson claimed the spot with a total of 236 points across the season, edging out Dewan and Chmerkovskiy, who held 235 points, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
When does Dancing with the Stars air next?
Following the special Monday night broadcast, Dancing with the Stars returns to its regular weekly schedule, airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+. Episodes are available to stream the following day on Hulu. The schedule shift for the Disney-themed episode was implemented to avoid broadcasting conflicts with U.S. midterm election coverage on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
