New York Stock Market Continues santa Rally, Dow Reaches Record High

The New York stock market continued its Santa rally for the second day on the 24th (local time), continuing its all-time high. On this day, the New York stock market closed at 1 p.m., three hours earlier than usual, the day before Christmas. AFP Coalition

The New York stock market continued its upward trend on the 24th (local time).

On the second day of the Santa Rally, the Dow Jones Industrial Average joined the ranks of all-time highs.

The stock market has risen for five days as of trading days, and amidst this trend, the Standard & Poor’s (S&P) 500 Index and the dow Index have set new all-time highs.

Meanwhile,Nike soared more than 4% on the news that Apple CEO Tim Cook,an outside director,purchased 50,000 shares of Nike stock on the 22nd.

Dow reaches record high

Even the Dow Jones Industrial Average joined the streak of record highs,and two of the New York Stock Exchange’s three major indices broke all-time records.

The Dow rose to 48,731.16, up 288.75 points (0.60%) from the previous day, and the S&P 500 rose to 6,932.05, up 22.26 points (0.32%).

The S&P 500 broke its all-time record for the second day, and the Dow broke its all-time record in 13 days since the 11th.

The Nasdaq index, which focuses on technology stocks, rose only slightly while artificial intelligence (AI)-related stocks showed a flat trend.
