Dr. Saminder Singh Opens Addison Medical Center Plaza in Viera

Dr. Saminder Singh opened his primary care and family medicine practice at 8795 Ivanhoe Drive, Unit 101, anchoring the new five-unit Addison Medical Center plaza in Viera. The 3,000-square-foot clinic opened on August 4, and provides personalized adult primary care, preventive services, and same-day minor procedures for patients aged 16 and older.

Singh purchased the property for his medical plaza three years prior to opening. “I wasn’t even thinking about buying a plaza,” Singh said. “You just meet the right people and an opportunity comes. And I thought, ‘Hey, this is something that you should consider.'”

Expansion and Tenant Additions at Addison Medical Center

The 10,000-square-foot plaza welcomed its second medical tenant when One Step Pediatrics opened in Unit 109 on October 1. Three additional units within the five-unit complex remain available for rent.

Dr. Lizabeth Saint-Hilaire of One Step Pediatrics noted that the west Viera location near several schools influenced her choice of site. “We like to practice in a similar way as the doctors,” Saint-Hilaire said. “We like to focus on prevention and really taking our time and providing a great service to the patients.”

Singh currently employs a four-person clinical team and plans to expand the staff. He aims to attract complementary medical services such as a gastroenterology clinic, a physical therapy office, or a medical lab to the remaining open units. “I’m sure there will be a benefit to open next to a primary care clinic, so I’m sure the person who opens it, they’ve done their research and they think that this is a need,” Singh said. “And, right now, there’s a big need on this side of Interstate 95.”

Patient Education and Preventive Care Focus

Singh’s practice emphasizes prevention and patient access. Each of the eight examining rooms features a television designed to deliver medical information tailored to individual patient needs.

“So while you’re waiting for me, you’re being taught information about your health,” Singh said. “I truly believe that prevention begins with education.”

Prior to opening the Viera plaza, Singh practiced at a Spyglass Hill Road office for Health First. He holds board certification in family medicine and brings more than 17 years of clinical experience to the practice. Viera residents since 2020, Singh and his wife, Shirmeej—who works as a family practice physician in Melbourne—live with their children.
