Revenue Commissioners Collects €8 Million in Tax Settlements, Including Crypto Investor and E-Scooter Importer
The Revenue Commissioners in Ireland has announced settlements totaling almost €8 million from tax defaulters in the final quarter of 2025. The list includes a cryptocurrency investor, an e-scooter importer, company directors, and landlords, according to a report published on March 10, 2026.
Largest Settlement Exceeds €2.2 Million
The largest settlement, exceeding €2.2 million, was made by Air Force H&V Ltd, a Dublin-based air conditioning systems maker and installer. The company under-declared taxes including PAYE, PRSI, USC, and VAT by €1,340,032. With interest and penalties added, the total owed reached €2,249,605, of which €1,828,688 remains unpaid. Air Force H&V Ltd is currently in liquidation, having entered liquidation in May of the previous year. Source
Other Notable Settlements
Desmond O’Keeffe, of Killorglin, Co. Kerry, settled for €155,000, including over €98,000 in tax, €27,000 in interest, and over €29,000 in penalties. O’Keeffe is listed as a cryptocurrency investor. Source
Runo Dortie, founder of Eirescooters Ireland, made a settlement of nearly €130,000 following a Revenue investigation that uncovered the non-declaration of capital gains tax and VAT, as well as under-declaration of income tax. Dortie, who initially established the business although a student in Navan, Co. Meath in 2020, is now residing in Rotterdam. Source
Pro-Light Design & Technology Ltd, a Dublin firm, settled for €1.1 million, though only €22,000 has been paid. The company under-declared corporation tax and VAT. Source
