Friends Launch GoFundMe for Eric Dane’s Daughters Following Actor’s Death
Following the death of actor Eric Dane on Thursday, February 20, 2026, friends and fans have rallied to support his family. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to benefit his two teenage daughters, Billie and Georgia, after Dane’s passing at the age of 53 following a battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

The GoFundMe campaign aims to raise $250,000 to provide for the future needs of Dane’s daughters. As of Friday night, February 21, 2026, the campaign had already surpassed $75,000 in donations. The fundraiser was initiated by friends of Dane and his wife, Rebecca Gayheart.
“It is with profound sadness that we share the loss of Eric Dane after a hard-fought battle with ALS, leaving behind his devoted wife, Rebecca, and his two teenage daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the center of his world,” reads the statement on the GoFundMe page.
The statement continues, “Following his diagnosis, Eric became a passionate spokesperson for the ALS community, using his voice and platform to advocate for fellow patients and to push for greater awareness. Even as his own health declined, he remained deeply committed to helping others facing the same devastating disease. As his illness progressed far more quickly than anyone could have imagined, Eric’s friends have come together to create this GoFundMe to support his girls and their future needs.”
Donors are encouraged to contribute any amount, as “Any contribution, no matter the size, will help provide stability during this incredibly difficult time and in the future for Eric’s wonderful daughters. Thank you.”
Eric Dane’s Career and Battle with ALS
Eric Dane was known for his roles in the television series Euphoria and Grey’s Anatomy. He publicly announced his ALS diagnosis in April 2025.
Dane’s family shared a statement announcing his death on Thursday, February 20, 2026: “With heavy hearts, we share that Eric Dane passed on Thursday afternoon following a courageous battle with ALS.” The statement added, “He spent his final days surrounded by dear friends, his devoted wife, and his two beautiful daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the center of his world.”
