Europe to Provide Kiev with €35 Billion in Military Aid

Today, the participating countries in the meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine (“Ramstein” format) promised to allocate 35 billion euros for the defense of Ukraine this year. As reported UNIANBritish Defense Minister John Hilley announced at a briefing after the meeting of the Contact Group in Brussels.

“We can save lives, we can put pressure on Putin, and we can achieve peace, but only if we act together. Therefore, together, I can confirm that today at the meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine, we committed to provide Ukraine with new military aid worth a total of $35 billion,” Hilliy said.

At the same time, as the British minister notes, Great Britain spends the largest amount of funds on military aid to Ukraine in history. He recalls that he announced a new aid package totaling more than 500 million pounds. This assistance will be directed towards the urgent air defense needs of Ukraine.

“Today, the Contact Group sent a very clear signal to Putin. We are more united and determined than ever. We will increase military aid to Ukraine. We will increase the pressure on Russia and we want to make 2026 the year that this war ends and the year that we secure peace,” Hilliy emphasized.

For his part, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius assured that Ukraine can count on the support of its allies and partners.
