Kelli Hollis Compares Two ITV Soaps
Hollis, who portrayed Ali Spencer on Emmerdale between 2011 and 2015, appeared on the Plane Comedy podcast alongside former co-star Liam Fox. During the interview, Hollis joked about how she and her colleagues viewed the differences between the two production sets.
I’ve always said, when we used to go to dos and stuff — I shouldn’t really say that ‘coz I’ve just done a touch on Corrie — but I always used to say at dos: Corrie are like the posh snobby aunty at a wedding and then Emmerdale’s your council estate scuffers that have rocked up and are gonna cause shit at the wedding,
Hollis said on the podcast.
Hollis has appeared in several British television dramas, including Shameless, Ackley Bridge, and a brief guest role on Coronation Street itself. Her character Ali Spencer exited Emmerdale after the dramatic death of her wife Ruby in a helicopter crash. Reflecting on her departure, Hollis noted that her character boogered off to Liverpool
before dying 18 months later.
