Fiat 600 Expands Lineup with Latest Petrol Engine and Manual Transmission

Fiat is broadening the appeal of its 600 model with the introduction of a new petrol engine option, notably paired with a six-speed manual transmission. This addition complements the existing hybrid and all-electric (600e) variants, catering to drivers who prefer a more traditional driving experience. The new engine will be available in the Czech market starting in May 2026.

New 100 HP Petrol Engine

The new entry-level engine delivers 99 hp (74 kW / 100 PS) and features a turbocharged design with a variable-geometry turbocharger, a silent timing chain, and high-pressure direct fuel injection (350 bar). Fiat emphasizes improvements to gas exchange for smoother and more efficient engine operation. This powertrain is also found in the Fiat Grande Panda.

Six-Speed Manual Transmission

For the first time, the Fiat 600 will be available with a manual transmission. The new petrol engine is exclusively offered with a completely new six-speed manual gearbox, appealing to drivers who enjoy a more engaging driving experience.

Street Edition

To mark the launch of the new engine, Fiat has introduced a limited-edition Street trim, restricted to 2,000 units. The Street Edition features a two-tone exterior, gloss black grille, black door handles, black badging, and unique 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, it boasts a black ceiling and distinctive black and white seats.

Pricing and Availability

The new petrol engine will be available across all trim levels of the Fiat 600. While specific pricing details are yet to be announced, Fiat anticipates the new model will be priced below 499,900 CZK, which is the starting price for the mild-hybrid automatic version in the Czech Republic as of March 2026.

Current Pricing Opportunities

Currently, buyers in the Czech Republic can purchase a Fiat 600 with a 145 hp engine for the same price as the 110 hp version, a promotion valid until the end of March 2026.
