LARAMIE, WY – The University of Wyoming Athletics Department and the Cowboy Joe Club have launched the “Step Forward” Campaign, a fundraising initiative aimed at bolstering revenue-sharing efforts for the Wyoming football program. The campaign was publicly announced on February 4, 2026, and seeks to raise $500,000 by April 25, 2026.
Campaign Kickoff and Initial Funding
The initiative gained significant momentum with a $125,000 commitment from Head Football Coach Jay Sawvel, which was immediately matched by an anonymous donor, bringing the initial total to $250,000 . This initial funding represents half of the campaign’s overall goal.
