Samuel L. Jackson to Lead ‘Frisco King,’ Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Tulsa King’ Spin-off – Cast Additions Revealed

Paramount+ is expanding the world of its hit series Tulsa King with a spin-off, Frisco King, starring Samuel L. Jackson. The series, created by Taylor Sheridan, will initiate production later this month in Fort Worth, Texas, with Sheridan writing all eight episodes of the first season. Several new cast members have joined Jackson in the highly anticipated drama.

Expanding the Sheridan Universe

Frisco King initially began as NOLA King, set in New Orleans, but underwent a creative overhaul, shifting the location to Frisco, Texas, and prompting a title change. This move follows Sheridan’s pattern of evolving his series concepts, as seen with the Yellowstone prequel 1923, which was originally titled 1932.

Cast Additions

Joining Samuel L. Jackson are Asa Germann (The Boys: Gen V), Kai Caster (Yellowstone), Lilah Pate (Outer Banks), and Savannah Gann (English Teacher).

• Asa Germann will portray Teddy, described as a shrewd and insightful college dropout with an entrepreneurial spirit who catches the attention of Jackson’s character.
• Kai Caster will play Keith, a polite valet at the Sandman hotel.
• Lilah Pate will take on the role of London, a local cheerleader who isn’t afraid to leverage her appearance to achieve her goals.

Jackson’s character, Russell Lee Washington Jr., was first introduced in the third season of Tulsa King, which premiered in September 2023 on Paramount+ [Paramount+].
