FSAI Issues Recall on Good4U Super Sprouts Super Greens Due to Salmonella Risk

On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) issued a recall notice for specific batches of Good4U Super Sprouts Super Greens due to the possible presence of Salmonella. The recall affects products with a pack size of 60g and use-by dates of 22/04/2026, 26/04/2026, 29/04/2026, 30/04/2026, and 03/05/2026. The country of origin for the affected batches is the United Kingdom.

Consumers are advised not to eat the implicated batches and to return them to the point of purchase for a full refund. Retailers have been requested to remove the products from sale and display recall notices at point-of-sale.

Symptoms of Salmonella infection typically develop between 12 and 36 hours after exposure, though this can range from 6 to 72 hours. Common symptoms include diarrhoea (which may be bloody), fever, headache, and abdominal cramps. The illness usually lasts 4 to 7 days. In severe cases, diarrhoea may require hospital admission. The elderly, infants, and individuals with weakened immune systems are at higher risk for severe illness.

Good4U has confirmed that no other products in its range are affected by this recall. The company is coordinating with retailers to ensure the recalled batches are removed from circulation and has provided contact information (info@good4u.ie) for consumer inquiries.

The FSAI continues to monitor the situation and urges anyone experiencing symptoms after consuming the product to seek medical advice and avoid preparing food for others until they have been symptom-free for at least 48 hours.
