Gattefossé Unveils Haute Couture Formulation Collection Inspired by Iconic Fabrics

French cosmetic actives maker Gattefossé has launched “Haute Couture,” a new collection of six innovative formulations inspired by the textures and sensations of six iconic fabrics: cotton, velvet, silk, cashmere, elastane, and vinyl. The collection represents a year of research and development by Gattefossé’s French applications laboratory, aiming to stimulate imagination and explore new horizons in cosmetic formulation.

Blending Fashion and Beauty

The “Haute Couture” collection seeks to bridge the gap between the fashion and beauty industries, emphasizing the importance of sensory experience and touch in both realms. According to Marine Lochouarn, Marketing Manager at Gattefossé France, “Fashion and beauty now share the same ambition: delivering a sensory experience! This new collection blends their codes and highlights the importance of touch—which has turn into a true criterion of desirability—with textures that glide over the skin like haute couture pieces enhancing the body.”

This facial cream boasts a unique, cloud-like texture that immediately captivates. Its creamy, bouncy, marshmallow-like consistency transforms into enveloping softness upon application, thanks to the ingredient Emulium® Dolcea MB. Lipocire™ A SG enhances the melting sensation and provides a rich, comforting feel. The formula is further enriched with Noxifense™, a bioactive ingredient derived from upcycled sea buckthorn leaves, to soothe the skin.

To the Elasticity of Elastane: Elaskin Bi-gel | 3062-3.03

Inspired by the suppleness of elastane fabric, this light blue face gel-cream offers a weightless feeling and elastic touch. Its bi-gel texture delivers an ultra-fresh sensation upon application, facilitated by Emulfree® CBG MB. Acticire® MB supports the comfortable gel-cream texture, leaving a soft, light, and non-sticky finish. The formula, enriched with EleVastin™, is ideal for summer apply or for combination to oily skin seeking lightweight hydration, and is designed to help fight skin sagging and redefine facial contours for firmer, toned skin.
