The prize aims to highlight the crucial role teachers play in society and recognize their dedication to transforming young lives.

Prize Eligibility and History

Since its launch, the Global Teacher Prize has received over 100,000 applications and nominations globally. The prize is open to teachers in all types of schools and countries, subject to local laws. The Top 50 finalists are also recognized as Global Teacher Prize Ambassadors.
