God of War Director Reveals The Game Awards Statue Is Not GoW

Gamers have recently been excited about a mysterious statue shared by The Game Awards Host, Geoff Keighley, on Twitter. Geoff said that the mysterious statue was majestic, inspiring, and solid.

There is a lot of speculation about games related to this statue, from Diablo to God of War. and now, it truly seems like the Director of God of War has confirmed that the statue is not related to the game.

Cory Balrog,director of God of War,responded to speculation regarding the Game Awards statue which was thought to be related to the franchise he handles. This response appeared in the livestream chat from the Streamer Luke Stephens some time ago.

On the livestream, Cory appeared and provided very short, concise, and clear comments. According to him, the statue is not the God of War (GoW) game. This comment instantly debunked this speculation.

Even though it’s not related to the franchise he’s working on, that doesn’t mean the game won’t appear at The Game Awards.Reportedly, the GoW franchise will be present at The Game Awards 2025 to announce its newest game in the Metroidvania genre.
