Harry Maguire Launches AI-Powered Coaching Platform Feedz to Revolutionize Player Feedback
England and Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has taken a significant step into the sports tech arena by co-founding Feedz, an AI-driven platform designed to streamline coaching feedback and performance analysis. The tool, which has already gained traction among grassroots and professional teams, aims to address a critical gap in sports development by transforming voice notes into structured reports in under a minute.
The Vision Behind Feedz
Maguire, who has 66 England caps and 290 Premier League appearances to his name, emphasized the importance of feedback in player development. “Better feedback builds better players,” he stated. “Coaches at every level should have access to tools that help them communicate clearly and consistently.” The app is positioned as a solution to the time constraints faced by coaches, particularly in youth academies where individualized feedback is often limited due to workload.

Feedz allows coaches to record short voice notes, which are then processed by AI to generate detailed performance reports. These reports can be shared with players and parents, ensuring consistent and actionable insights. Maguire, who is pursuing his UEFA A Licence, sees the platform as a potential tool for his future coaching career. “I invested because the idea felt like something that should already exist,” he said.
Adoption by Clubs and Organizations
The platform has already been adopted by several sports organizations. Sheffield United FC integrated Feedz into their academy sessions, with coaches using it across age groups from Under-8 to Under-18. Matt Morley, Head of Junior Phase Coaching at Sheffield United, highlighted the app’s role in improving communication and planning. “The detail we can provide through Feedz helps players better understand and develop their game,” he noted.

In addition to football, cricket clubs such as Surrey, Sussex, and Kent County Cricket Clubs have implemented the software. Grassroots football leagues like Powerleague and Table Tennis England have also engaged with the platform, showcasing its versatility across sports.
Maguire’s Dual Role as Player and Innovator
Despite his current focus on playing, Maguire’s involvement with Feedz reflects his forward-thinking approach. The app’s launch coincides with his transition phase, as he prepares for life after professional football. His collaboration with co-founder Matt White underscores a shared vision to leverage technology for sports development.

The tool’s efficiency—saving coaches an estimated full day of administrative work per week—aligns with broader trends in sports tech. As AI continues to reshape training methodologies, Feedz represents a practical application of technology to enhance coaching effectiveness.
Looking Ahead
With elite clubs already utilizing the platform, Feedz is positioned to expand its impact. Maguire’s endorsement and the app’s practical benefits suggest a promising future for AI-driven coaching tools. As sports organizations increasingly prioritize data-driven strategies, Feedz could set a new standard for feedback mechanisms in athlete development.
