Milan Nursery School Relocation and Building Demolition Underway

Preparations are underway for the demolition of a building formerly used as a nursery school in Milan, Italy and the relocation of students to temporary facilities. The changes facilitate the construction of a modern educational complex.

Relocation of Students

Students with disabilities from the Einaudi school, along with teachers utilizing remote learning options, have already begun occupying spaces at the San Bernardo oratory. Arrangements are being made to accommodate in-person teaching at the San Francesco college starting March 16, 2026. This temporary relocation allows for the demolition of the existing structure.

Demolition and New Construction

The former nursery school building, a long-standing fixture in Milan’s educational landscape, is currently being emptied of its furnishings. Some items will be salvaged for reuse, while others will be replaced in the new, state-of-the-art complex planned for the site. Demolition is expected to commence within the next week, following the removal of furniture, and equipment.

Pergolesi Nursery School Details

The Pergolesi Nursery School 17, located at Via Pergolesi, 17, welcomes children aged 3 to 6. The school is divided into two sections, each accommodating a maximum of 25 students, with two educators per section. The school features dedicated spaces for each section, as well as common areas including a lounge, laboratory, reading space, and courtyard. Educational support staff are available for students with disabilities. Lunch is provided by Milano Ristorazione.
