HONOR Advances AI Ecosystem with Open Platform and Robot Phone at MWC 2026

Barcelona, Spain – March 3, 2026 – HONOR is accelerating its vision of Augmented Human Intelligence (AHI) and its ALPHA PLAN with a new open AI ecosystem, unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026. The company showcased its commitment to a more connected and intelligent future, highlighted by the HONOR AI Connect Platform and the innovative Robot Phone.

HONOR AI Connect Platform: An Open Ecosystem

HONOR announced its strategy to build a unified interface through the HONOR AI Connect Platform, aiming to integrate over 20,000 AI services by the end of 2026. This platform marks a significant shift for HONOR, transitioning from a smartphone manufacturer to a global AI device ecosystem company. The platform opens HONOR’s core AI capabilities to partners, fostering deeply shared intelligence and aiming to create a personalized AI avatar for users across a vast device network.

Fang Fei, President of Products at HONOR, emphasized the importance of collaboration, stating that “walled gardens” should be a thing of the past. She envisions combining a human-centric approach with technology to maximize individual potential, creating AI companions that enhance creativity and connectivity. Fei discussed this vision alongside Philippe Lucas, Orange Innovation Executive Vice President Partnerships, Content and Devices, during the ConnectAI panel discussion at MWC 2026.

The Rise of AI Companions and a “Cambrian Explosion”

Fei likened the current industry landscape to the Cambrian Explosion, a period of rapid diversification of life on Earth. She predicts a similar surge in the variety of intelligent devices, with AI taking new forms, including “Embodied AI” like the HONOR Robot Phone and specialized AI companions developed in partnership with other companies.

This evolution is driven by two key trends: the “decoupling” of smart hardware, where devices turn into specialized peripherals, and the “ubiquitization” of AI entry points, creating new interaction paradigms. HONOR’s AI Connect platform aims to provide a unified experience across these diverse devices, with an AI Agent acting as a personal digital twin that understands user intent and seamlessly carries it across connected devices – from smartphones to cars and smart homes.

Introducing the HONOR Robot Phone

HONOR unveiled the Robot Phone, a groundbreaking device that blends smartphone technology with robotics. The Robot Phone is designed to be more than just a communication tool; it functions as a personal cinematographer, automatically tracking and recording video, allowing users to fully participate in their experiences. This represents HONOR’s concept of Augmented Human Intelligence (AHI), transforming devices from passive tools into proactive partners.

New Hardware Innovations

Alongside the Robot Phone, HONOR debuted the HONOR Magic V6, its latest AI-native foldable smartphone, characterized by its ultra-slim design. The company too showcased its newest generation of PCs and tablets. Attendees at MWC 2026 are invited to visit the HONOR booth in Hall 3 to experience these innovations firsthand.

HONOR also announced the MagicPad 4, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 mobile platform, and the MagicBook Pro 14.
