With 219 to 211 votes, the House of Representatives has approved a resolution that stops Trump’s use of tariffs on Canadian goods.

The majority was achieved when six Republicans voted yes along with the Democrats. Only one Democrat voted against the resolution.

The Republicans have 218 representatives and the Democrats 214 representatives in the assembly.

The resolution is now forwarded to the Senate. If it were to be adopted there as well, it is expected that Trump will veto it.
