Two Airlifted Following I-65 Crash in Bartholomew County
Two people were airlifted to a hospital Saturday night following a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 65 in Bartholomew County, Indiana. The incident occurred just south of Taylorsville, resulting in the vehicles leaving the interstate and coming to rest on North County Road 250 West.
Details of the Incident
According to a Facebook post from Bartholomew County Sheriff Chris Lane , the crash took place during the evening hours of March 7th. The area between Lowell Road and West County Road 500 North was temporarily closed due to the accident but has since reopened.
Injuries and Response
Both drivers involved in the crash were airlifted from the scene to receive medical attention. Authorities have not yet released the conditions of the victims or the exact time the crash occurred.
Investigation
Deputies determined the crash happened in the left lane of Interstate 65. The investigation is ongoing.
